I’ve taken advice from someone close to me that for a long time I should have been video blogging as well as writing, well here you go. On my holidays and a well deserved bit of R&R, I have started to document through the medium of video the looks I put together whether its to hit some trends or just some experimenting with my look.
This video can be seen in full over on my You Tube channel or here if you prefer to have a read of the blog while you are here. The look today is edgy with some layering, faux fur and accessorising with my new obsession, hats. Have a look and leave me a comment with your thoughts!

When I get married I want my pictures to look like this. I mean. Wow. Talk about amateur dramatics. Aside from that, this is the all time top of my list posed wedding pic. Jamie and Kate bring a whole new edge to wedding photography; it kind of reminds me of Twilight in a good way. Bella and Edward in 15 years time. And now that the nuptials are over and the dress is in the dry cleaners, the lady herself is the cover girl of the September issue (the US one of course, Anna has spent hours on it!). The September issue of all fashion mags is the key issue for every publishing house. It’s the highest selling for the simple reason…this is the issue that marks the turn of the fashion season. We are officially in Fall/Winter 2011. The best of the designers, the catwalk trend reports, the how to wear advice etc are documented by in the key issue of the year. After all, they did make a film about it and as it was once said, if fashion was a religion, Vogue would be the bible.
Since I changed www.styleisle.ie to update daily, I have been neglecting this blog so much! So here is the plan!
Over at www.styleisle.ie all the latest news, trend udpates and interviews are all going to be logged daily to keep you up to date on what’s happening in the fashion world as I hear it. This blog will be kept for my own personal experiences in fashion and all the adventures from fashion weeks to filming shows for stylenation to all the other little things I come across. I have been gathering some stories over the past week and I have so much material that I don’t know where to start!
Coming on Friday, I’ll have my take on the capsule wardrobe (as told to the listeners of Tipp Fm on my regular slot). I’m building up my essentials for Winter so I’m going to give you the low down on what I am doing to get Winter-ed. I’m overcoming my fear of colour, saving for a Burberry trench, carrying a vintage brief case to work and all in all, adding some swagger to sophistication and my day to day work wardrobe.
As well as that, each week, I will be bringing you my look of the week (i.e. which celeb was my best dressed) and a round up of the fashion news of the week that was.
So I hope you’ll keep checking out my adventures here and read all the fashion goss over on styleisle.
