Brioni I’m disappointed in you.

I’m kind of sad about this. Brioni announced today they were ditching womenswear to focus on their menswear line which means…they are letting Alessandro Dell’Aqua go as creative director. On top of that! They decided to veto the womenswear show at Milan altogether! I mean why bother spending the last six months with a design team working away to build a collection, which might I add has always been good, only not to show it? I consider this a big huge waste of cash. When I first started blogging, I wrote a post on Alessandro and where he disappeared to after his own line went down the swany. And now one year later, a label with whom he has re built a steller career, no longer wants him.

Let’s hope this creative talent will not go to waste. [image from nymag.com]
