Luas most stylish passenger! (I’m on the lookout)

So you have read over on styleisle (if you haven’t, well you should) the Luas have very kindly asked me to be the face of a campaign to find the Most Stylish Luas Passenger!

I’m so excited about it, I have to blog twice about it! I headed out to St.Stephen’s Green to do a super photocall on a Luas that was brought in especially for me!

Each morning (very early before work!) I will be on the Luas on my way to work checking out all you stylish peeps who use the Luas to get you to work on time!

There is a great prize for the winners from both lines and if you want all the details well head over to the Luas facebook page for all the details. So if you see me with a camera, don’t be shy!

IPR press day Dublin

I spent my lunch break yesterday with the lovely people from London super PR agency, IPR who came to visit us to give the press a look at what’s to come from some of their top labels. It was nice to see some labels from the past make a comeback, such as Firetrap and Lee jeans. Firetrap have recently collaborated with UK singer, Sunday Girl, who has worked with them to create the most edgy looks we are all going to love (especially me). I totally fell for a leather jacket in the lookbook (it’s officially on my “what I’m going to buy myself for Christmas” list).

A new label to us all, which is launching in the UK sortly, called Monki, is really urban and aligned with the likes of Forever 21 in terms of style and price. This collection is young and bright with some key pieces like print mini dresses, neon shirts, and shorts. Selfridges have taken this label on and is a sure hit on Oxford Street!

Well established label, Sandro, which is available in BTs here, promises a chic collection for this season, keeping the look clean and simple, as always. Sandro has proved a success with the Irish market and I have say, it’s a label I think is worth investing for it’s tailoring.

Other labels on show included Prism, Paige Denim and Religion all of which I will be featuring here and on styleisle over the coming season so stay tuned! Take a look at some of the pics I took of my favourtie pieces!

warehouse is just wonderful

I totally forgot to post this picture from red carpet at the Catwalk 2 Kilimanjaro launch on August 10th at Harry’s on the Green ( a project I am very involved with at the mo). I just love this blouse. It’s cream chiffon (very light) with a nice neat collar and is embellished down the front and on the sleeve. It’s so chic and when I saw it, it had Balmain written all over it, and before I knew it, it was mine.

I wore it with some black leggings from Charlotte Ronson which were a US purchase last year and were well worth the money. No shrinkage or fading. With something like this blouse which has some detail, I like to keep this the key piece and make the rest of look quite simple, so the focal point is the embellishment. The blouse is €72 from Warehouse, which you can purchase through!

the fashion movement

My Saturday just gone was fashion filled. I am currently working with Jervis Street shopping centre to document all the activities and festivities of the The Fashion Movement, a whole month of fashion shows, styling advice and pop up shops. The Fashion Movement is on every Saturday and Sunday over the next four weeks and there is so much to see. The best part (apart from the hourly fashion shows) is the pop up Jean Movement store in the old Waterstones space. Pop along where you can get styling advice on the right jeans for you, whether you like skinny or boyfriend cut, the advice comes free of charge! Resident experts are on hand to try on styles which are all available from the stores within the centre, like New Look, Forever 21, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Miss Selfridge.

I’ll be there each Saturday so pop along and take a look at the great fashion on offer and if you see me with my microphone filming, come over and say hi!!!

My outfit above is from Forever 21 located on the ground floor of the Jervis Shopping Centre! Probably my favourite store and well worth a visit!
