Day two is off and it started a little later than yesterday at the very civilised time of 1.15 for me!
The Vauxhall Fashion Scout started with designer Lako Bukia today. Although Lako was not chosen in the “Ones to Watch show” on Day One, she is firmly on my radar. Despite starting 45 minutes behind schedule, I still managed to score a 2nd row seat.
Soviet Union architecture was her inspiration which translated into constructed pieces accentuating the shoulders. Fabrics which are full of texture like organza, mesh, silk all combined to give beautiful but structured movement to the collection. The colours went from a soft palette of dusky pink, blue and grey to vibrant red. Dresses, tailored pants, and separates were the key means to delivering this collection.
Here’s a look!
Highlight of Day so far – standing next to Janice Dickenson at the Fashion Scout Exhibition
Lowlight of the Day – not getting into the Osman show even though I had a ticket. They over invited by 300 guests! Boo.
Will be back later with John Rocha! Hanging in the Press Room with the coffee flowing on the netbooks kindly provided for people like me to blog throughout the day!
My attire today conists of grey skinny jeans from Forever 21, silk 3/4 length pink blouse from Zara, faux fur gilet from Awear (which was featured in Vogue I hear!). And the brown hair of course and Rayban wayfarers.
